Business school designs: icons and other graphics

The designs showcased in this project cover a variety of project types. Most are related to website designs in one way or another, but a couple have found their way onto business school swag and one was the logo graphic they didn't know they wanted.

Infographic designs

In 2015 I created an infographic for the homepage. It consisted of a series of graphics that illustrate aspects of the business school, including rankings, programs, and opportunities. Individual graphics were used in other parts of the website as well.

T-shirts and school identity

One of my favorite business school designs was my pitch for a t-shirt design, before budget cuts forced the school to scrap their plans for that year's back to school giveaway. The design found new life later, included on photo booth prints at that year's back to school event.

This design was created for a t-shirt, but was ultimately used as a tag on photos at a back to school event in 2018.

Another design was meant for the school's website, the anchor on a redesigned homepage. That is, until we decided to forego the redesign, in favor of the forthcoming release of the new KU CMS. Both designs found new life, thanks to the school's videographer--a friend who also loves design and managed to showcase some of my work in ways I hadn't ever imagined.

In addition to these examples, there are icon sets, some general use, scalable graphics used to bolster boring stats in infographic-style displays on the school's homepage, and others designed specifically to represent research centers.

There's even an unsolicited logo image that I reluctantly proposed with encouragement from my manager and team lead. Sometimes the smallest graphics make the biggest impressions. See below for more examples.
