Watercolor balloons

My extended family is full of artists. My aunt was a professional artist who made beautiful watercolor paintings. It's an art form I've always admired, and I decided one year (on my birthday) to buy a set of paints and give it a try. The paints sat in a box for almost a year, almost until my next birthday. I had to do something with them before my next birthday rolled around. Soon after, I found an online tutorial by one of my favorite artists.

Blule is the brand of French illustrator, Clementine. I subscribed to her "Colour Up Your Day" emails many years ago, receiving nearly daily emails, each with an image of her original work. I was determined to use my new watercolors before a year had passed, and that's when I found her new tutorial series, "Basics of Watercolour."

I can always count on my daughter to join me when it comes to art or craft projects. She loves art and making things. So, when it was time for me to break out my new paints, I knew she would be there with me. She even had some helpful tips and ideas--things she learned in her art classes at school.

I'm including photos of our work, but I'm not telling who did which painting.
